SHOCK WAVES BY DANIEL OLIVA REVIEWED IN THE ARTBLOG.ORG
Only visible at sundown, Shock Waves from artist Daniel Oliva is a memorial to the victims of the tsunami that devastated Japan last spring. While the inside of Pentimenti Gallery is currently empty, the installation in the gallery’s front windows is visible from its sidewalk through August 24.

Pentimenti Gallery is pleased to present a night site specific installation “Shock Waves, a response to the Japanese nuclear crisis” by Daniel Oliva. The exhibition opens on Saturday, July 30 and continues through August 24, 2011. The hours to view the installation are at sundown and can only be viewed from the sidewalk.

The traveling show “Maniac: Manic Episode 2” runs from June 11 to June 30, 2011 at Brickhouse Art Gallery in Sacramento, CA and travels to Reynolds Gallery, University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA from July 25 through August 19, 2011.
